Nanni Baker, DDSBoard Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Nanni Baker earned her B.A. in 1986 from Colorado State University in German Language. After graduation she taught German for the Department of Defense schools in Wiesbaden, Germany. From 1988 - 1991, she attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with a D.D.S.. In addition, she received a Health Profession Scholarship which enabled her to serve in the United States Army Dental Corps as a Captain.
Following her tour in Wurzburg Germany, she completed her certificate of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1996.
In September of 1996 Dr Baker began working regularly in El Paso as well as opening her private practice in Boerne Texas. Dr Baker and Dr Maldonado have been working together in El Paso since 2003 and together opened Children's Dentistry of El Paso November 2008.
Dr Baker and her husband Bo enjoy ranching and raising both warmblood and quarter horses. Dr Baker's passion is riding dressage on her new mare Sienna! She is also a member of the United States Dressage Federation and the United States Equestrian Federation. When she is not at the office you'll be able to find her at the barn or spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Dr Baker is Certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Southwest Pediatric Dental Association, San Antonio Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and was selected as a Texas Monthly Super Dentist in 2004, 2005 and 2007. Dr. Baker also serves on the Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)Border Rates and Expenditures Advisory Committee.
Dr. Baker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Yvonne Maldonado, DDSGeneral Dentist
Dr. Yvonne Maldonado is an El Paso native. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 1996. After graduation, she worked in an underserved community in Sunland Park, New Mexico. She returned to El Paso in 2001 where she has served children, ages 3 to 21, in the public and private practice sectors.
She is a recipient of the Texas Dental Association's Service Recognition Award for her services to the El Paso Homeless Community as well as the YMCA Recognized Achievement Award. She is a past president of the El Paso District Dental Society and currently serves on the Peer Review Committee.
Dr. Maldonado has held several positions in the Texas Dental Association, to include Director in 2011, and Senior Director in 2012. She is currently serving as Vice President of the TDA.
Karan Nett, DDS
Dr. Karan Nett is also a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She was born and raised in Modesto, California. She received her collegiate education at the University of California at San Diego and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Physiology/Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology.
Dr. Nett received her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national honors society. Dr. Nett completed a general practice residency at the Veteran's Medical Center in Southern California. Dr. Nett's Pediatric Residency specialty training was at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, California.
Dr. Nett and her husband, Dr. Brian Nett, a local orthodontist, have a son, Jackson, a daughter Emerson and a golden retriever named Cooper.
Dr. Nett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Brian Nett, DDS
Dr. Brian C. Nett grew up in San Diego, CA. He is a graduate of the University of California and Columbia University, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, with an emphasis in orthodontics. He went on to earn his Masters of Science degree in Dentistry and his certificate in orthodontics, in 2003, from the University of Washington, in Seattle.
After graduation, Dr. Nett practiced orthodontics in San Diego, CA and Phoenix, AZ. In the spring of 2008, he opened his own orthodontic practice in Phoenix, AZ, and then climbed on board the Ark in January of 2011! Dr. Nett is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, in addition to being a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. When Dr. Nett is not at his practice, or with us at the Dental Ark, he can be found mountain biking, playing tennis or golf and spending time with his wife, Dr. Karan Nett, also a dentist at the Dental Ark, and his two children.
Dr. Nett prides himself on providing patients with all of their orthodontic options. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his extensive training and private practice experience, and we are pleased to have him. Lorraine Lin, DDS
Pediatric Dentistry, Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego, CA
Dr. Lin received her education from The University of Loma Linda, CA and accomplished her residency at the pediatric Dentistry at Randy Children's Hospital in San Diego, CA. Dr. Lin has been practicing dentistry since 2003. Diplomat, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
She and her husband recently celebrated the birth of their daughter, Isabella. She has a quote that she lives by " "My goal is to provide comprehensive care to treat every child with a caring and gentle manner that I would want for my child. My focus is on prevention and educating the parent and child on how to have excellent oral health and future cavity-free appointments"
